Two-Section Wolf Deck with an Attached A-Frame Roof in Denver, PA
Completed in 2026, this custom outdoor living project in Denver, Pennsylvania, replaced an existing deck with a spacious two-section composite design. The new layout combines a 14′ × 19′ section with a 16′ × 11′ section, providing approximately 442 square feet for outdoor dining, entertaining, and relaxation.
Wolf decking in Amberwood gives the deck surface a warm, natural appearance while offering low-maintenance resistance to moisture, staining, fading, and everyday wear. Hidden fasteners were used throughout most of the surface, with visible fasteners limited to the starter boards and fascia.
Rosewood accents provide contrast throughout the design. These details include matching fascia, a two-board-wide picture-frame border, double divider boards, and a Rosewood bar-top drink rail. The stairs continue the two-tone design with Amberwood treads, Rosewood risers, and Rosewood fascia.
The deck was constructed on a new pressure-treated frame supported by 6″ × 6″ posts attached to a double beam. The posts rest on 8,000 PSI footer pads installed approximately 36 inches below the surface. A properly flashed ledger connection helps prevent water from collecting between the deck and the home.
White 400 Series vinyl railings with black round aluminum balusters surround the deck. A coordinating white vinyl gate with black balusters adds safety and convenience, while the Rosewood drink rail creates a practical surface for beverages and entertaining.
An attached A-frame vinyl roof-over creates a protected area that can be enjoyed during changing weather conditions. The roof features GAF Williamsburg Slate shingles, white vinyl-wrapped posts, a finished white vinyl soffit ceiling, gutters, and downspouts. The lower gable fascia was custom-notched to accommodate a distinctive architectural feature.
The electrical package was rough-wired for four recessed lights, a ceiling fan, one switch, and one outlet. Building plans, permit processing, material delivery, and professional installation were also included.
