Traditional Pressure-Treated Backyard Deck in Womelsdorf, PA

Completed in 2026, this custom 12′ × 15′ deck in Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, created 180 square feet of practical outdoor living space. The straightforward design provides a versatile setting for grilling, outdoor furniture, entertaining, and relaxing.
The entire deck was constructed from pressure-treated lumber, including the frame and walking surface. Pressure-treated wood offers dependable resistance to moisture, insects, and decay while maintaining the traditional appearance of a natural wood deck.
The structure is supported by pressure-treated 6″ × 6″ posts attached to a double beam. Each post rests on an 8,000 PSI footer pad installed approximately 36 inches below the surface, creating a durable foundation designed for Pennsylvania’s seasonal conditions.
Four-foot-wide pressure-treated stairs provide comfortable access between the deck and surrounding yard. The stairs feature an approximate 7.75-inch rise and 11-inch tread depth.
