TimberTech Composite Deck in Harrisburg, PA

Completed in 2026, this custom 10′ × 20′ composite deck in Lititz, Pennsylvania, replaced an aging outdoor structure with 200 square feet of attractive, low-maintenance living space. The project included removing the existing deck and constructing a new pressure-treated frame designed for strength and long-term performance.
TimberTech Premier Collection decking in Dark Teak gives the deck the warm appearance of natural wood while offering improved resistance to moisture, fading, staining, and everyday wear. A hidden-fastener system was used across most of the deck surface, with visible fasteners limited to the starter boards and fascia.
Matching Dark Teak composite or PVC fascia finishes the deck’s exposed edges. A one-board-wide Dark Teak picture-frame border slightly overhangs the deck perimeter, creating a clean, professionally finished appearance.
The ledger board was matched to the height of the deck joists and secured to the home using 5-inch LedgerLOK fasteners. Silicone sealant and Z-flashing were installed to help prevent water from collecting behind the ledger.
The new deck is supported by pressure-treated 6″ × 6″ posts attached to a double beam and resting on 8,000 PSI footer pads installed approximately 36 inches below the surface. Black 200 Series vinyl railings provide a bold, contemporary contrast against the Dark Teak decking.
Four-foot-wide pressure-treated stairs provide comfortable access to grade. The stairs feature solid-profile TimberTech Premier Collection composite treads with matching decking and fascia for a consistent appearance throughout the project.
