TimberTech Ashwood Deck with Screened Porch and Cable Railing

This expansive two-section outdoor living project in Robesonia, Pennsylvania, combines a 9-by-39-foot deck with a 13-by-22-foot section for a total of 637 square feet. TimberTech Legacy Collection decking in Ashwood creates a warm, naturally varied surface, while contrasting Espresso accents define the exposed edges. A two-board picture-frame border runs along the outside and sides of the deck, with a double border highlighting the 13-by-22-foot section and eliminating the need for random decking joints.
The railing design changes with the function of each space. Beneath the roof, matte-white aluminum railing features an American Series top rail with horizontal cable infill. Along the open deck, a Chesapeake-style bar top with horizontal cable railing provides convenient seating and serving space. TimberTech Legacy decking in Espresso finishes the bar top, and two matching cable-rail gates provide controlled access to the deck.
A roof was constructed over the approximately 9-by-39-foot porch area with Weathered Wood shingles, tan gable siding, white vinyl soffit, and a white AZEK-trimmed three-ply support beam. Exterior-mounted screens and an Oak Park screen door create a protected porch while preserving visibility. The completed roof also includes attic ventilation at the house connection, a reinstalled gutter, and a downspout connected to the existing underground drain.
