Multi-Section Pressure-Treated Deck with Clay Railing in Ephrata, PA
Completed in 2022, this multi-section pressure-treated deck project in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, combines several connected outdoor areas into one versatile backyard layout. Altogether, the three deck sections provide approximately 402 square feet of usable outdoor space.
The project includes a 14′ × 16′ pressure-treated decking area and an additional 8′ × 14′ section. A new 6′ × 11′ pressure-treated deck expands the layout and helps connect the different areas into a more functional outdoor living space.
Two sets of pressure-treated stairs provide access between the deck and surrounding property. A custom mitered step adds a clean finished detail, using angled joints to create a more polished transition at the edge of the deck.
Clay-colored railing with York balusters surrounds the deck, adding a warm neutral tone alongside the natural pressure-treated lumber. The decorative baluster style gives the railing system additional character while maintaining a traditional residential appearance.
