12×22 Elevated AZEK English Walnut Deck with Clay Railing

This elevated 12-by-22-foot PVC deck in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, replaced the property’s previous deck with a completely new outdoor living space. AZEK Vintage Collection decking in English Walnut brings rich, natural-looking color to the design, while matching fascia, flush rim boards, and coordinated trim create a polished appearance. The decking runs parallel with the joists, with additional 2×10 blocking installed beneath the boards for proper structural support.

Approximately 17 steps connect the deck to a four-foot landing at grade, with 6×6 stair support posts providing strength and a consistent look. Clay Superior 200 Series railing with Model balusters surrounds the elevated platform and staircase. Shorter railing sections eliminate the need for support blocks, while flat post caps, plain post skirts, clay vinyl post wraps, and matching AZEK trim along the support beam complete the design. The deck was also raised to meet the door threshold for a smoother transition from the home.
