Completed in 2026, this custom deck renovation in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, transformed an aging outdoor space into a comfortable, low-maintenance area for relaxing and entertaining. The 10′ × 20′ deck provides 200 square feet of usable space and includes a custom 10′ × 10′ pressure-treated pergola.

The existing decking was removed while the usable deck frame was retained. Deck Zone repaired and reinforced the joists where needed before covering them with rubber joist tape to provide additional protection from moisture.

TimberTech Prime Collection composite decking in Maritime Grey was installed across the deck surface. An Espresso-colored picture-frame border extends slightly beyond the deck’s edge, creating an attractive contrast and a professionally finished perimeter.

Four-foot-wide pressure-treated stairs provide access to grade and feature composite Prime Collection treads with matching decking and fascia. The stairs were designed with an approximate 7.75-inch rise and 11-inch tread depth for comfortable everyday use.

The 10′ × 10′ Cozy Retreat pergola was constructed from pressure-treated wood and finished in Cinder stain. The design features 5″ × 5″ posts, double 2″ × 8″ headers, decorative corner braces, 2″ × 6″ runners with decorative ends, 2″ × 2″ top runners, and double return beams with corner braces on two sides.

The completed project combines durable composite decking with the warmth and architectural character of a stained wood pergola, creating a defined outdoor retreat with partial shade.
