Composite Deck Renovation with Rain-Management System in Lebanon, PA

Completed in 2021, this extensive deck renovation in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, transformed an aging wood deck into a durable, low-maintenance outdoor living space. The project included removing and disposing of the existing decking while retaining the usable deck frame.
The existing structure was resurfaced with upgraded composite decking from the Vintage Collection. A complete hidden-fastener system eliminated visible screws across the deck surface, creating a smooth, professionally finished appearance. Ledger flashing was also installed to help protect the connection between the deck and the home from moisture.
The custom vinyl railing system features clay-colored posts and rails paired with upgraded black aluminum balusters. A 5.5-inch Weathered Teak composite deck board was mounted along the top of the railing to create a convenient bar-style drink rail for outdoor entertaining. A 5′ × 5′ vinyl privacy fence was also incorporated to provide additional separation and privacy.
To improve the usability of the space beneath the elevated deck, Deck Zone installed a Trex RainEscape system with a coordinating gutter designed to direct water away from the deck and into the nearby bank. Sand-colored aluminum soffit was installed underneath, creating a clean, finished ceiling while helping protect the lower outdoor area from rain.
Additional work included installing a customer-provided fire ring and adjusting the existing lattice so it remained securely positioned within its track. The completed renovation provides multiple areas for relaxing and entertaining while combining upgraded composite materials with practical water-management features.
