Composite Deck in Myerstown, PA

Completed in 2026, this custom 20′ × 20′ composite deck in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, created 400 square feet of low-maintenance outdoor living space. The spacious design provides plenty of room for outdoor dining, furniture, entertaining, and everyday relaxation.
The deck was built on a new pressure-treated lumber frame supported by 6″ × 6″ posts attached to a double beam. The posts rest on 8,000 PSI footer pads installed approximately 36 inches below the surface, creating a dependable structural foundation.
TimberTech Harvest Collection decking in Slate Gray gives the deck a clean, contemporary appearance while providing improved resistance to moisture, fading, staining, and everyday wear. A hidden-fastener system was used throughout most of the deck surface, with visible fasteners limited to the starter boards and fascia.
A one-board-wide Slate Gray picture-frame border slightly overhangs the deck’s perimeter, creating an attractive finished edge. White composite or PVC fascia provides a crisp contrast against the gray decking and conceals the exposed framing.
The ledger board was matched to the height of the joists and secured to the home using 5-inch LedgerLOK fasteners. Silicone sealant and Z-flashing were installed to help prevent moisture from collecting behind the ledger.
White 1000 Series vinyl railings with white square spindles surround the deck. A coordinating vinyl gate provides added safety and convenience for children and pets. Four-foot-wide pressure-treated stairs with TimberTech Harvest Collection composite treads provide comfortable access to grade.
Building plans were also included as part of the complete custom deck installation.
