Complete Backyard Deck and Fire Pit Transformation in Lebanon, PA

Completed in 2026, this custom outdoor living project in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, combines an 18′ × 10′ composite deck with a stamped-concrete patio and a dedicated natural-gas fire pit area. Together, the spaces create a versatile backyard destination for dining, entertaining, and relaxing.

The 180-square-foot deck was constructed on a new pressure-treated frame supported by 6″ × 6″ posts attached to a double beam. The posts rest on 8,000 PSI footer pads installed approximately 36 inches below the surface.

TimberTech Harvest Collection decking provides a durable, low-maintenance surface with improved resistance to moisture, fading, staining, and everyday wear. Hidden fasteners were used across most of the deck, with visible fasteners limited to the starter boards and fascia. A contrasting one-board-wide picture-frame border creates a professionally finished perimeter.

White aluminum cable railings preserve visibility from the deck while providing a clean, contemporary appearance. A Wolf PVC deck board was mounted along the railing to create a convenient bar-top drink rail.

Six-foot-wide pressure-treated stairs with TimberTech Harvest Collection treads provide comfortable access to the patio. Placid low-voltage lighting was installed beneath the railings and along each step, with wiring, splitters, a 120-watt power supply, and a control hub included in the system.

The adjoining 18′ × 24′ stamped-concrete patio provides 432 square feet of additional entertaining space. A step leads from the main patio to a 13-foot-round fire pit area featuring an installed Mini-Creta natural-gas fire pit kit. The concrete was reinforced to support a potential future outdoor structure, and a natural-gas connection was incorporated into the project.
