Brownstone AZEK Porch Resurfacing with Vertical Skirting in Palmyra, PA
Completed in Bernville, Pennsylvania, in 2023, this custom backyard deck combines a soft gray deck surface with bright white finishing details. Measuring 12′ × 16′, the deck provides approximately 192 square feet of outdoor living space.
The deck was positioned approximately 16 inches to the left of the exterior door, allowing the platform to follow the planned layout while maintaining convenient access from the home.
Beneath the finished surface, pressure-treated 2″ × 10″ joists spaced 16 inches on center are supported by a double 2″ × 12″ beam and substantial 6″ × 6″ posts. This framing system creates the structural foundation for the deck and stairs.
The deck surface features Sea Salt Gray composite decking. The boards were installed without a picture-frame border, giving the 12′ × 16′ surface a straightforward and uninterrupted appearance.
Superior 200 Series all-white vinyl railing surrounds the deck and continues along the staircase. Approximately four steps connect the deck to the yard, while white fascia and matching white stair risers carry the railing color through the remaining exterior details.
The combination of Sea Salt Gray decking and crisp white components gives this Bernville deck a clean, coordinated appearance suited for outdoor dining, grilling, and relaxing.
