Antique Leather TimberTech Deck Resurfacing

This detailed composite deck renovation was completed in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, in 2022. The existing 15′ × 24′ deck frame and railing were retained while the worn wood decking was replaced, renewing approximately 360 square feet of outdoor living space.
After the original deck boards were removed, the exposed framing was pressure washed. Rubber joist tape was then applied across the tops of all joists and the additional picture-frame supports to help protect the pressure-treated framing beneath the new surface.
The replacement surface features TimberTech composite decking in Antique Leather. A picture-frame border finishes the perimeter, while a double divider board through the center creates an intentional break in the decking layout.
Color-matched fascia was installed around the deck, with the decking extending approximately one inch beyond the finished edge. Additional matching fascia fills the gaps created by the thinner composite boards near the house’s J-channel and around the existing railing posts.
The stairs were reinforced with one additional stringer. Matching fascia covers the inside and top of the existing stair stringers, while the open-riser design leaves the added middle stringer exposed.
With the existing railing preserved, this project focused on protecting the reusable frame and creating a coordinated composite finish across the deck, fascia, and stairs. Removal and disposal of all project debris were included.
