The existing deck was updated with new composite decking in the warm and inviting Antique Leather color. This rich, natural-looking finish provides the character of stained wood while eliminating many of the maintenance concerns associated with traditional lumber. Measuring 14′ x 16′, the renovated deck offers ample room for outdoor seating, grilling, and casual entertaining. "Let me start off by saying that I am what some would call a perfectionist; I am extremely particular & if I'm shelling out good money, you can bet that my standards are going to be high & I'm not afraid to voice any concerns that I have, respectfully, of course. When my husband & I decided that our 20 yr old wood deck needed to be replaced, we contacted a handful of companies who came to our house to discuss the various options, such as materials, time it would take to complete the deck, etc. One of those companies was Deck Zone, who I was the most impressed with right from the start. Bo & another gentleman came to our house with tons of sample composite decking options. They took time looking at our deck w/ taking pics & measurements. They were easy to talk to, listened to our ideas & even offered some of their own ideas, which I really appreciated because they obviously have a lot more experience than we do. I appreciated how they answered all questions. Bo showed us everything from the lower cost composite decking to the higher cost decking. Never once did Bo act like a "salesman" & try to pitch us a line on why we should go with the more expensive decking. He answered all our questions, which allowed my husband & I to make an informed, no pressure, decision.
One of the reasons we choose Deck Zone was due to how responsive Bo was to all text/phone calls we made. Bo was so ridiculously prompt at responding to our inquiries/questions & if he wasn't sure about something, he would find out & get back to us quickly. Thank you Bo!!!
Moving on to the project itself, was it a perfect, seamless project from start to finish? No. Were there some issues/concerns that needed addressed as the deck was being built? Yes. Were there some lines of miscommunication? Yes. Don't let any of that deter you from Deck Zone because every single concern/issue I encountered was quickly addressed & remedied by Bo, Levi (owner), or one of the builders. There was never any pushback, excuses or anything of that nature. They listened & adjusted accordingly. It's not very often when the actual owner of a business will make a personal appearance to ensure the job that they were hired to do was done correctly & that their customers are 100% satisfied, but that's exactly what our experience was with Deck Zone. Levi, the owner, came to our house to look over the project, listened to every concern I brought up, which honestly wasnt much, & literally took care of the finishing details himself. After he was done & left our house, which was on a Wednesday, my husband & I noticed something that needed tweaking. We sent a message to Bo or Levi (can't remember which one at this point) & the very next day, Levi was back at our house, did what he needed to do & was on his way in about 20 mins. All I can say is "Wow", this is one owner who really cares about his customers' satisfaction. He could have very easily put us on the back burner & told us that he'll get someone back out to our house whenever they have some time or when they're done with their current project. Levi is such a humble & kind man who is very particular, pays attention to details, and genuinely cares about his customers, which really resounded with someone like me. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our deck & we particularly LOVE our new privacy wall; it's a show piece in & of itself IMHO. I came out so SPECTACULARLY!!!! The underrail lighting is so beautiful & really sets off our deck at night. Thank you for that lighting suggestion Bo. We also love the wrapped 6x6 posts under the deck; it made our lil backyard space so much nicer & more inviting.
