15′ × 16′ TimberTech Composite Deck with Drink Rail

Completed in 2026, this custom 15′ × 16′ composite deck provides 240 square feet of low-maintenance outdoor living space. The deck was built on a new pressure-treated frame engineered to provide dependable structural support and long-term performance.

TimberTech Terrain Collection decking in Weathered Oak creates a warm, natural wood appearance without the maintenance requirements of traditional lumber. A hidden-fastener system was used throughout most of the deck surface, with visible fasteners limited to the starter board and fascia. Matching Weathered Oak fascia and a single-board picture-frame border give the deck clean, finished edges.

The ledger board was secured to the home using 5-inch LedgerLOK fasteners and silicone sealant. Z-flashing was installed to help prevent water from collecting behind the ledger. The deck is supported by pressure-treated 6″ × 6″ posts attached to a double beam and resting on 8,000 PSI footer pads installed approximately 36 inches below the surface.

White 400 Series vinyl railings with black square aluminum balusters provide a timeless contrast against the Weathered Oak decking. A matching Weathered Oak bar-top drink rail adds a convenient surface for beverages and outdoor entertaining.

Six-foot-wide pressure-treated stairs provide comfortable access to grade and feature composite Prime Collection treads with coordinating fascia. White horizontal skirting completes the lower portion of the deck, concealing the framing and creating a polished appearance.
